This will-known Daraz 11.11 sale in Pakistan is the old brainchild of well-known e-commerce group Alibaba. In May 2018, Daraz was acquired by the Alibaba Group and since then, Daraz has introduced many features like Daraz Mall, Daraz wallet and Global Shipping etc. In short daraz has gotten better day by day after the acquisition.

But the question is that despite all the changes and improvements, why Daraz keep disappointing their customers with their fake sales.

Daraz never miss a chance of marketing and advertising their Mega 11.11 sale. You saw digital ads on various social media platforms as well as on the Billboards and Posters too. Every person even the one who are not using social media platforms also knew about the Daraz 11.11 Sale so called the ‘Biggest sale in Pakistan’. But the question is that is it really the biggest sale day of Pakistan?

Daraz Gyara Gyara Sale comes every year in the mid of November and if we discuss the recent years sale. Daraz claims a huge record-breaking sale but the reality is totally different. What about customer satisfaction and customer feedback. How they can judge their success without showing the customer reviews.

Daraz Gyara Gyara or the biggest sale day of Pakistan has critics already because of the fake price cuts. Daraz has always been known for increasing the product prices on their website and then discounting those increased prices to fool the customers and customers thinks that they are saving a lot. In reality, they are spending same price as normal day or more than the actual price.

Now, my point is Daraz is getting hate by its own. There are many sellers on daraz who actually scam like this and the organization/brand get cost it. No brand/organization really want to lose their customers or their business. So, how can we directly blame Daraz. Daraz announces the sale and the option available for sellers but the sellers always increase the regular price of the product. Let’s suppose, an earbud has a regular price of 500/-PKR and when the sale starts. Sellers increases its regular price from 500/-PKR to 1000/-PKR on their website and then discounting this price by 500/-PKR so it looks like the customer gets 50% Off on that earbud. This is how they scam the customers. Daraz is responsible for this issue but daraz hasn’t taken any action yet and announces another sale.

This is also very difficult for the sellers because if sellers purchase that earbud in 400/-PKR itself and how he gives it with 50% discount in 200/-PKR, he will be in loss. So, also from the seller point of view it is right because the economical conditions of Pakistan aren’t good.

On the other hand, Daraz has some of its official stores and they provide real discounts too. Yes, like daraz mall etc. You also get some vouchers and coupons as well.

The main issue is Marketing and Advertising of these sales, they hyped a lot, they overhyped their sales and make it disappointment for the customers in the end. Daraz isn’t the only store that follows this strategy but many other big names too. They’ve to change their marketing strategy and advertise accordingly.
